jumbled thoughts on a jumbled mess

Posted by Hello

we are all shocked silent
(save the windbags on tv)
by the arrogance of the sea
and the frailty of man
by the tragedy of death
and the absurdity of life

and the futility of numbers
when trying to calculate
death tolls and relief funds

if only the human condition
could be capitalized

The shock of the earthquake actually accelerated the planet's orbit, shortening the length of the year by a fraction of a second. This isn't what they had in mind when they prayed, "Hasten the day," sick of living in this pre-existence. But how many more will perish eternally on that great and terrible day, so we can see our Jesus face to face?
I say, "No, Lord, we need more time!"
"Life is too precious," He's telling us now.
